Nellie Mae Davis Litman was born on August 3, 1941, in Alma, Ga. Bacon County, to the late Lenton P. Davis and the late Loucrettia Farmer Davis. Nellie Mae Davis Litman departed this life Monday, May 4, 2020. Nell attended Bacon County Public School. She was a homemaker and employed at South Oxford Alma, Ga. She was also employed at a daycare in Alma, Ga. Owned and operated by her late sister Frances Tobler. At an early age, Nell joined Saint James Baptist Church in Johnson Lake Community in Alma, Ga where she served faithfully as Mother of the church. Nell will be remembered for her service to the community, being an excellent cook/baker, feeding many, and making everyone feel at home.
She was preceded in death by her four brothers: James Davis, Jake Davis, Charles Davis, and Linton Davis; her four sisters, Cleo Thomas, Frances Tobler, Mary Alice Lee and Annie Faison; Two Brothers-in-Law, Rev. Enoch Lee, Sr. and Robert Franklin.
She leaves to cherish her memories two daughters, Barbara Blue (Walter) and Brenda Davis. One sister Dorothy Davis. Sister-in-laws Annie Davis, Addie Davis and Betty Davis; Four Grand Children, Derrick Blue, Kendra Blue, Kari Goolsby (Sherman), and Daron Blue. Eleven Great Grand Children and also a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, Other Relatives and Caring friends.
The family of the late Nellie Mae Litman would like to express our sincere appreciation during this time. Thank you for your many comforting messages, floral tributes, expressions of kindness, phone calls, visits, and most of all your prayers.
