Mr. Daniel Lee Rainge, Jr. passed away on April 4, 2020. Mr. Rainge was born on April 2, 1942 to the late Daniel and Martha Rainge. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ike and Letha Rainge and Louis Fisher as well as siblings, Beverly Jenese Rainge, Nathaniel Rainge, John Henry Rainge and Carlton Rainge.
He attended elementary school in Nahunta, GA and graduated at 16 from Center High School in Ware County. Mr. Rainge attended Tuskegee University as an Engineer and really enjoyed fixing things. From there, he joined the Army First Airborne and became a Jumpmaster. After being honorably discharged from the Army, Mr. Rainge worked in Chicago, Illinois as a Pay Master for US Steel before returning to Nahunta, GA.
When returning to Nahunta, Mr. Rainge worked as a truck driver and mechanic until his health failed. He loved R&B music and watching sports. In the later years, he loved traveling. He met and married Annie Mae Hall in 1972.
He is survived by his wife, Annie Mae Rainge. He leaves behind four children, Daniel Lee (Qiuju) Rainge, III, Danielle (Anthony) Broadnax, Anthony Rainge, and Tyrone Rainge. Seven grandchildren, Aria Rainge, Arissa Rainge, Daniel Rainge, IV, Taylor Broadnax, Peyton Broadnax, Bryce Broadnax, and Anaya Ellis. Siblings, Shirley (Harold) Goldsmith, Mary Ruth Thomas, Barbara Ann Mayfield, Eddie (Ruby) Nails, Lester (Sarah) Rainge, Marshall Rainge, Curtis (Karen) Rainge, Carletha Bryant and Louvenia Annette Rainge. Mother-in-law, Annie Bell Hall. One aunt, Queen Buckley. Two uncles, Jimmy Rainge and Sam Fisher. Sister-in-laws Reverend Marie Rainge, Mary Hall, and Ella McDonald. Many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends.
Arrangements are being made with Rainge Memorial Chapel, Inc. in Blackshear, GA and will be announced later.
