William Deloach “Dee” Small III passed away Monday, April 17, 2017 in Hot Springs, AR.
He was born March 7,1989 to William Small Jr. and Tammy Brown-Small in Folkston. He was raised in Folkston and Camden County most of his life and attended school in the Camden County School System.
He followed in his father’s footsteps and pursued a career in construction. Although he loved construction, he could do any and everything he put his mind and heart to. He was a hard and dedicated worker and loved working alongside his father with a passion. Everyone in his life that he met they automatically were drawn to him. He was loved for and cared for by thousands of people and will be deeply missed. Growing up as a kid he was a member of Clinch Chapel United Methodist Church of White Oak. He loved nothing more than spending time in the country with his grandfather, William Small Sr., helping him farm and fish. He was a dedicated Georgia Bulldogs fan until the day he died.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Arthur Lee Brown, Reba Mae Walker and William Deloach Small Sr.
He leaves to cherish his memory his parents, William and Tammy Small Jr., Blackshear; his grandmother, Betty Brown, Forest Park; three young children, Deevon Deloach Small, Kara Ray Anne Small and Raylend Lee Small; two loving siblings, Nicholas Small and Nacretia Small; one niece and one nephew; two godbrothers, Demarcus Williams and Omarion Woodard; there was a special place in his heart for Sam Walker and his grandmother, Sarah Small; three aunts, Tolshia Brown, Jacksonville,FL, Jennifer Walker-Mathis, Harriet’s Bluff, Tonya Walker, Woodbine; he also had a special love for his great-aunt Margaret Small, Kingsland; five uncles, Bryant Walker (Nesie), St. Marys, Johnny Muchison, Woodbine, Samuel Mainor, Kingsland, Quentin Brown (Cecily), Jacksonville, FL and Christopher Brown, Little Rock, AR. He also leaves a host of cousins, great-uncles and aunts, great friends that loved him more than anything in the world and will forever cherish his memories.
The family is receiving friends at the residence. Visitation will be held from 5-6 p.m. Friday, April 28, at the funeral home, 505 Ware Street, Blackshear.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 29, from the Clinch United Methodist Church, Owens Ferry Road, White Oak. Pastor Marie Rainge, pastor of Clinch United Methodist, will bring the words of comfort.
Interment will follow in the church yard cemetery.
The cortege will assemble at the residence at 1:15 p.m. Saturday at 511 Strickland Avenue, Blackshear.
