Mrs. Shirley D. Jernigan,  age 55, of 2403 Blalock Rd, Mershon, GA, passed away Wednesday morning, December 13, 2017, at her residence, with her husband, Johnny Jernigan, and daughter, Renie Jernigan, at her bedside along with other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Trudie Mae Simpson Bryant; a sister, Donelle Bryant and three brothers, Hezekiah Bryant, J.L. Bryant and Robert Jean Bryant.

Left to cherish her memories are her loving husband, Johnny Lee Jernigan; two sons, James Richard Smith and Dennis Smith; a daughter, Renie Jernigan; nine grandchildren, Dairion Jones, Dairius Jones, Thomas Johnson, John Jones, Makayla Jernigan, Shirley Jernigan, Angela Jernigan, Olivia Smith and Victoria Smith; seven brothers, Albert Bryant, Ronald Bryant, Donald Bryant, Jerry Bryant, James Bryant, Herbert Bryant and Carter Lee Bryant, one sister, Bertha Jackson and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will take place from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 22, at the funeral home, 505 Ware Street, Blackshear.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 23, at Spiritual Body Outreach Ministry in Screven, GA. Minister Wilkerson, pastor, and Minister Shelia Gibbs will bring words of comfort.

Interment will follow in the Screven Cemetery.

The cortege will assemble at the residence at 2403 Blalock Road, Mershon, GA at 10 a.m. Saturday.
