Mother Pauline Davis was born on July 25, 1932 to the late Thomas and Daisy Green and departed this life on January 10, 2020 at Memorial Satilla Health Hospital in Waycross, Georgia.  She was born in Mershon, Georgia however, lived most of her life in Patterson, Georgia.

Mother Pauline received her education in the public-school system of Pierce County Georgia.  Mother Pauline devoted her life to Christ at an early age.  She started her walk at St. James Missionary Baptist Church and later united with First Born Church of the Living God, Patterson, Georgia.  She faithfully served the church as the “Church’s Mother” as well as in other capacities for as long as her health permitted.  She will always be remembered for her never- ending smile and for being a pillar and matriarch of the Patterson community.

Mother was preceded in death by one daughter Mary Davis Parrish and one son David Lee Davis. Six brothers:  William Green, Jacob Green, Nathaniel Green, W.C. Green, Arthur Green, J.C. Green, stepbrother Stanley McKenzie, Jr., and stepsister Hazel McKenzie.

As a young woman, she married Clifford Davis, Sr. and to this union four children were born and in later life met Ozell Miller and to this union three more children were born.  Of the two unions, she leaves to mourn 5 children:  Clifford Davis Jr. of Patterson, Georgia, Ronnie (Flora) Davis of Madison, Alabama, Sarah Davis of Patterson, Georgia, Gilda Miller of Jesup, Georgia, and Tommy (Andrea) Miller of Waycross, Georgia.  She also leaves to mourn grandchildren:  Tyrone (Monica) Davis, Francesca (Tyrus) Davis Edwards, Olisha Parrish, Jeff Floyd, Aubrin Rhem, Sheena Rhem, Felina Miller, Travis Miller, Tommy Miller Jr., Cierra Miller, Shamishala Horne, Nelson Horne, and Robin(Fernando) Mercer-Grant, Amiya (Rufus) Scott great-grandchildren:  Alexis Miller, Christian Davis, Bailey Davis, Julianna Floyd, Tania Ward, Natieya Williams, Aubrianna Rhem, King Rhem, Jahlon Rhem, Michael Miller, Malachi Miller, Timothy Miller, Kassidy Miller, Jahseh Ornelas, Micah Edwards, Demetrius(Devyn) Mercer, Taylor Grant, Tyler Grant, Aria Character, Shikih Taylor, Darren Williams Jr., Ja’Dean Wilson, Dreyson Jones, Dernyon Horne, Brycen Horne, Malaysia Davis; great-great grandchildren:  Maiven Mercer, Kinzlee Mercer, Kassidy Smith, Khalil Smith. Special niece Deborah Green of Jacksonville, Florida. A host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
