Ms. Lula P. West, age 83, of Waycross, GA, passed away June 12, 2017 at Memorial Satilla Health. She was born August 22, 1933 in Coffee County, GA. Her mother was Ms. Elma Perkins. She received her basic education from the Coffee County School System. Ms. West was a member of Church of Christ Written in Heaven on Blackwell St., under the leadership of Bishop John Moss. She is preceded in death by her mother, Elma Perkins, a daughter Margaret West, two sons Arthur Austile Sr., and Ricky Ham. Left to cherish her memory is a daughter, Eleanor Connie Rawls (Bernard), Waycross, GA; a goddaughter, Ms. Sherry Butler, grandchildren, Arthur Austile Jr., Shawn Sanders (Oneida), Kawanda West (Shon), and Christy Roberts (Shawn); several great grandchildren along with other relatives and friends.

The family is receiving friends at 405 Community Drive, Waycross, GA.

A visitation for Ms. Lula P. West will be held Friday evening, June 16th, 2017 at Rainge Memorial Chapel, Inc., from 6 p.m. - 7 p.m.

A celebration of life for Ms. West will be held Saturday, June 17th, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. also at Rainge Memorial Chapel, Inc., with Bishop John Moss giving words of comfort. The family is asked to assemble at the funeral home at 10:40 a.m. Saturday morning. Interment will follow in the Hoboken City Cemetery, Hoboken, GA.
