Ms. Joann D. Gardner, age 86, of Homerville, GA passed away on Thursday night February 7th at Satilla Hospice House in Waycross, GA.

JoAnn is the daughter of John Gardner and Muriel Daughtery Gardner of LaFayette County, FL. She was the eldest of their 3 children and the last of her siblings to pass. She was predeceased by sister Betsy Gardner Hughes and brother Huey "Clayton" Gardner.

She attended the Valdosta Teaching College, graduated with a bachelor's degree and taught elementary school in Homerville, GA's public school system her entire working life.

Left to cherish her memories are two sons : Brett "Robin" Booth of Darien, GA and Guy Booth, a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces and a large family of hundreds of cousins.

Memorialization will be by private burial.

Final and most sacred arrangements are entrusted to the professional care of Rainge Memorial Chapel, Inc. 505 Ware St. Blackshear, Ga.
