Obituary

Mr. George Edward Willette, 78, of 5207 Short Path Road, Patterson, passed away Thursday, December 29, 2016, in the presence of his caregivers, Dora Truitt and Louester (LuLu) Steele.

He was born June 9, 1938 in Merrimack, NH to the late Alice Blanch Ouellette and George Hitchborn. He was educated in the school system of Rochester, NH. He later became a cook in the Merchant Marine with the Alaska Pipe Line. He was Port Hueneme organizer for the union. He joined the U.S. Navy and was later discharged. He lived in Rhode Island, California, Alaska, Florida and held several positions off shore, seismographic, drilling rigs and supply boat, Santa Barbara graphic vessels, and tug boat, AB Mate and Captain.

Later in life he relocated to Georgia and eventually to Patterson.

Left to cherish his memories are two sisters, Leigh Chesley (Scott R. Howe), Buxton, ME, and Ann Gilbert, Lancaster, NH; his caregiver: Dora Truitt, a step-daughter Louester (LuLu) Steele and a granddaughter Victoria Truitt.

Memorialization is by cremation.
