Ms. Elsie Jean Jordan, age 64, of Blackshear, went home to be with the lord on Saturday, October 20, 2018.
She was born in Hempstead, NY, October 22, 1953 to the late Edward Baker and Audrey Baker.
She loved to make people happy. She was very creative. She could draw, paint, crochet and had an amazing green thumb. She was inspired by her father who wrote a book about their home town. She loved to tell you stories about her life with a twinkle in her eyes.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Audrey Baker; her father, Edward Baker; two sisters, Evelyn and Bonnie; her brother, Edward Jr. and her loving husband, Don Jordan.
She leaves behind her son, Paul Jordan, Eureka CA and a handful  of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews spread out across the US. She also had a lot of special friends from the nursing home where she resided. Special mention  to Dyona Horne and Honorable mention to Tosha Pole, who was her dear friend until the end.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 29, in the sanctuary of Rainge Memorial Chapel.
