Softly and quietly on the morning of Thursday, February 25, 2021, our almighty God called the name of our loving mother, Dorothy L. Broady Grant. She answered His call and journeyed to her heavenly home for eternal rest.

Mrs. Dorothy L. Broady Grant was born April 17, 1928 in Mershon, Georgia to the late Russell and Bessie Broady. She was the third of five children.

Her Christian journey began at Union Chapel Baptist in Mershon, Georgia. On May 4, 1968, she married Andrew Memphis Grant and continued her spiritual journey with the House of God Church in Patterson, Georgia. To this union, two children were born.

Dorothy L. Broady Grant loved growing and tending to her flowers, sewing and hearing God’s word. She was a faithful member of God’s House until she transitioned to Baptist Village.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Memphis Grant; her parents Russell & Bessie Broady; her siblings: Charity Ward, Verdie Green, Loretta Madison, and Rosell Broady: and her son-in-law, Elisha Robinson.

Left to cherish her precious memories are her two daughters: Rose Grant-Robinson of Savannah, GA; Andrea (Alex) Wilson of Snellville, GA. Two Sister-in-Laws, Willie B. Broady Kelly of Blackshear, Ga and Allielove Davis of Richmond, VA. Three Grandchildren, Derrick Berenguer, Xaviar Robinson and Alivia Wilson. A special nephew, Minister Royce Broady who helped take care of her throughout her life. A host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and sorrowing friends.
