Cheryl Ann Holmes Lott, 74, of Blackshear, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2025.

Born on November 11, 1951, in Blackshear, Georgia, Mrs. Lott was a lifelong resident of the community. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ida L. Holmes.

Mrs. Lott was a graduate of Lee Street High School (Class of 1969) and South Georgia College, where she earned an associate degree. She later obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Edward Waters College. Her professional career included service as a secretary with Blackshear High School, the Waycross Board of Education, and GLRS, before retiring after 21 years with Southeast Georgia Rehabilitation, where she taught pre-employment skills to students with special needs.

She was a faithful member of Zion Missionary Baptist Church and served in numerous capacities until her health declined.

Mrs. Lott is survived by her husband of 46 years, Thomas J. Lott, Sr.; her son, Kenric Lott; her daughter, Kizzie Lott; five bonus children; one grandson, Tristan Lott; and a host of bonus grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other relatives.

Though she has completed her earthly journey, her faith, love, and legacy live on.
