On February 18,1943 a blessing took place Walter G. Lane was born to the late Inez Lane Davis. At the age of 76 Walter transitioned on Saturday, November 2, 2019. Walter was born and raised in Blackshear; GA. Friends and Family are being received at the home from 12 noon to 7 p.m. Visitation will be Friday, November 8th from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m.The funeral will be Saturday ,November 11th, 2019 at 11:00 a.m
Walter attended Lee Street High School. He served in the US Navy and had a honorable discharge. He was retired from Gilman Paper Co. St Mary's, GA. He had an unwavering faith in God. He was a life long member of Zion Missionary Baptist Church of Blackshear, Georgia. He was the chairman of the Deacon board under the leadership of Pastor Jimmie L. R Green. Walter enjoyed spending time with his family, helping others in the community and serving the lord.
He married Christine Mitchell on February 6th, 1964. They are the proud parents of 5 children : Keith, David, Mark, Daphne, and Tiffany.
Walter was predeceased by two sons: Keith Archangel, Albert David Ellison JR. He was predeceased by two sisters: Shirley Lane, Rachel Williams, two brothers Leroy Garner, and Jeffery Davis
His life and legacy will continue through his loving and devoted wife Christine Mitchell Lane, Three very attentive kids: Mark (Tracy)Lane of Houston Tx, Daphne (Vincent) Elliott, Tiffany (Karl Jr.) Regulus, both of Blackshear, GA. Three Brothers Benjamin Davis, Ronald Davis, Felton West, Three sisters Evon Brown, Ellen (John) Brown, Beverly King .13 grandchildren Steven Matthews, David Ellison Jr, Quinton Archangel, Darianna (Tony) Elliott, Kenny Elliott, Vincent Elliott, Normaria Lane , Marlaeshia Lane, Jessica Ellison, Daytin Baker, Kaianna Regulus, Kj Regulus . Special God family Terence, Vanessa, Terence Jr. and Virginia Lott. Host of nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends.
