Mr. Jackie Robertson, age 65, of East Waring St., Waycross, transitioned on Thursday, December 13th at Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross with several relatives close by.
He is the son of Mr. & Mrs. Willie and Julia Mae Robertson. He was born in Pierce county March 5, 1953 and lived in the Dean still community, later his family relocated to Waycross. He was preceded in death by his siblings: Leatha Robertson Carnegie, Estelle Robertson Stanford, and Willie (Buddy) Robertson Jr.
Jackie was a 1972 graduate of Waycross High School. During his adult years he retired from Champion International and later worked at Jerry J’s. He loved to attend family gatherings and shopping. Jackie favorite team was the Pittsburgh Steelers. Later in life Jackie received Jesus Christ as his personal savior and joined the True House of Deliverance Holiness Church where his niece Juliette B. Howard serves as the pastor.
He leaves to cherish his memories a special niece: Miranda Benson (Bernard) Two Brothers: Nathanial Robertson Sr. (Maxine) and Freddie Robertson Sr. (Jeannette). One sister: Annie Lois Jones all of Waycross. Two adopted daughters Almala Odoms, Atlanta, and Betty Ross of Waycross. Grandchildren Eric White, Larry White, Terrell White, Quintin Wilkins and Brawin Wilkins . A dear friend over 40 years: Betty White.
Close friends: Mae Staten, Linda Mercer, Marvin Young, and Daryl Collins of Waycross, A big host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Friends will be received at 806 East Waring Street, Apt A14.
A visitation will be held on Friday December 21st from 5:30-7 p.m. at The Upper Room Outreach Ministries , 702 Ossie Davis Parkway, Waycross, GA.
A celebration of life service will be held Saturday December 22nd at 11 a.m. in the sanctuary of Rainge Memorial Chapel., with his niece Pastor Juliette B. Howard of True House of Deliverance Holiness Church, Waycross, giving words of comfort.
Burial will take place at Shiloh Cemetery on Moore St, Blackshear.
