Buffie Ellis Obituary

Mrs. Buffie Latrell Ellis, age 48, passed away on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at the North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville, FL.  She was born to the late Margret Dell Primus and Cornelius Guyton on May 21, 1970 in Blackshear, GA.  She married her longtime friend and the love of her life, Henry Ellis in May of 1996.

 

Buffie graduated from Pierce County High School in 1989 before attending Okefenokee Techincal College, where she received a degree in Child Development.  She loved teaching and spent a lot of her time mentoring children.  She was a Pre-School teacher for over 20 years.  She was a lifelong member of the Church of God of Faith in Gainesville, FL.

 

Her life was a living example of Bible verse, Ephesians 4:32 - "And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ."

 

She loved to love on people; she grew up spending precious time with her family and friends.  She loved to attend gospel concerts, shopping, bowling, traveling, and her Aunt Ella's famous Sweet Potato Pie.

 

Buffie is survived by her husband Henry Ellis; her sisters Yolanda Primus and Tammy King; her brother Evans Primus; her uncles Superintendent Roy Primus (Dr. Catherine), Timothy Primus (Phyllis), and Bishop Willie Carr; her aunts Minister Lula Robinson, Minister Ella Myles (Bishop Avery Myles), and Shirley Chatters; her nieces Carmen Primus, Lapanja James, and Sharia Primus; her nephews Ronald Smith Jr., Dominique Primus, Evans Primus Jr., Keauna Smith and Jaleen Smith; She also leaves behind numerous loving relatives and friends.

 

Her final and most sacred arrangements were entrusted to the care of Rainge Memorial Chapel Inc. of Blackshear, GA.
